TULA skincare routine

Current Skincare Routine: TULA Edition

2018 is the year that I am working on being the best version of myself. This includes taking the time to create positive self-care habits. I have recently been on the hunt for a new skincare regimen because my skin is super dry as I have mentioned in a previous post.
A girlfriend of mine mentioned the TULA skincare line to try because she had good experiences with it. I didn’t want to purchase the big bottles right away. Luckily, TULA has a cute travel size kit for only 19.99 with shipping! This kit includes facial cleanser, toner, eye cream and a day and night moisturizing cream. I personally love the blue colors of the product bottles and they have a light scent to them that smells so nice!

Facial Cleanser

I loved the feel of the facial cleanser on my skin. I first used this facial cleanser after a one-hour hot yoga session and let me tell you, my skin felt absolutely amazing! After using this cleanser regularly in combo with my new Clarisonic Mia 2 and I was pleased with the results. It left my skin feeling super clean and soft and it did not leave my skin feeling tight or dry like other products in the past. I’ve also noticed that my skin has cleared up the more I used it.

Gel Toner

I seriously love this toner. It is in a gel form and comes out of a pump. You apply 1-2 pumps on a cotton ball and then apply it all over your face. The gel feels cool on my skin and it is seriously one of the most gentle toners I have ever used! Sometimes other toners leave my skin stinging or feeling dry and this one did neither.

Eye Cream

This eye cream smells wonderful and is super easy to apply. I like to put it on both my eyelids and my under eyes. I’ve noticed that when I wear this cream on my under eyes, my concealer goes on way more smoothly. It doesn’t crease at all!

Day and Night Moisturizer

I love this TULA facial cream. My skin can be super dry sometimes so on the days that I have to work a 12-hour shift, I may wear a different facial moisturizer underneath my makeup such as the Tera Clay Advanced Hydration Facial Cream. If my skin is feeling pretty normal, then this TULA moisturizer does the trick! I use it both in the morning and evening.
All in all, I love these products and this brand a great deal! I love trying new products so I may continue to do so but this set is definitely my go-to for now. As I get into the habit of having an established skin care routine, I may add more products to my regimens such as Vitamin C or any other facial oils.

I’d love to know what your thoughts are. What are your favorite skincare brands and why?

  1. Oh, I gotta have that eye cream! My favorite at the moment is Mikon moisturizer because it is soooo very light and doesn’t break me out. Thanks for your post. YAY, new stuff to try <3

  2. I have to say I’m a sucker for packaging and I like this one a lot – it looks “soothing”, does that even make sense? haha I like how you described the products a lot, with simplicity. I’m using ROC at the moment but Im always changing so the skin doesn’t get “used” to it.

  3. I am 35 so I am all about the eye creams and facial cleansers. My 11 year old has her first few set’s of pimples and freaked out even asked me to give her something to cover it up. I wonder if it is safe enough for sensitive skin?
