Fall Bucket List

If I had to choose a favorite season, I would have to choose fall! I am all about bonfires, cozy sweaters, pumpkin patches and everything in between. With that in mind, here is my fall bucket list of fun things to do in case you’re needing a little inspiration!

  • Apple picking
    • both this and visiting the pumpkin patch is a must. It’s more fun to go with a group of friends!
  • Going to the pumpkin patch:
    • Fun fact- I am slightly apprehensive around big pumpkins. When I was in kindergarten, I went on a school field trip to a pumpkin patch. There was a display of pumpkins in front of the farm that children were able to climb on. I, being the lucky one, was climbing the biggest pumpkin on the display which was rotten in some spots. So it broke under the weight of my little body and I fell into the pumpkin. It was so big that it was a struggle getting out again.
  • Harry Potter Marathon
    • Any HP lovers out there? I love watching Hary Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, especially on Halloween. Any guesses as to why?
  • Carve a pumpkin
    • I’ve only ever carved pumpkins a few times in college with my sorority sisters. It was a fun activity to do with friends or family.
  • Have a fall photo shoot
    • This would be the perfect opportunity to bust out all your cute fall clothes! So grab a bestie with great iPhone (or Android) skills and snap away.
  • Visit a haunted house
    • I’ve always wanted to do this, but I know that I’ll probably chicken out last minute. Who else feels that way?
  • Make your own homemade hot chocolate
    • If anyone knows me, I LOVE hot chocolate and will drink it all year round. But I especially love it in the cooler months.
  • Go on a ghost tour
    • Do you believe in the supernatural? Either way, this would be so fun to experience!
  • Wine and paint night with a fall-themed canvas to paint
    • This would be the perfect girls night out! If you don’t love wine, you at least get to spend time with your best girls.
  • Visit a winery and see all the fall foliage
    • If there is something more enjoyable than visiting a winery in the summertime, it’s visiting one as the leaves change.
  • Go on a hike
    • This would be the perfect way to get some exercise and enjoy all the fall scenery. Missouri is well known for its state parks and they have some of the best views ever!
  • Halloween movie marathon
    • Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown are a given. What are your favorites?
  • Go to a drive-in movie
    • I’ve always wanted to do this! It would be so much fun to snuggle in the car with your SO under a blanket with some hot chocolate ( or your drink of choice).
  • Visit a corn maze
    • I’ve done this the past few years with Justin and his family and it’s so much fun trying to find your way out. I’ve learned that I’m definitely the type of person that likes to meander and just walk to try and find the landmarks. Justin, on the other hand, is very much a map and directions kind of guy. I’ve also been known to take a few shortcuts 😛
  • Dress up your dog for Halloween
    • Not sure how Dakota would react to this…but it’ll definitely be fun to find out!

What are some traditions that you do with your family? I’d love to hear all about them! Leave a comment below.

It can definitely be intimidating to be in front of a professional photographer the first time. I would love to do a pumpkin this year too!

  5. Great fall bucket list! We went to a fall festival today which ticked one off my list for this fall! Can’t wait for the leaves to change and see all of the beautiful colors!
